Job summary

Defence Construction Canada (DCC) is seeking a Project Manager, internally known as a Technical Specialist, Project Management, to deliver infrastructure and environmental projects in Canada. The role focuses on managing medium-risk professional services contracts, client-partner relationships, and contract compliance while providing regular status reporting to supervisors and partners.

Qualifications

• Minimum: college diploma in engineering, architecture or related field with four years’ relevant experience.
• Preferred: university degree in one of the above fields and/or additional training in project management.
• Experience in project management for infrastructure and environmental projects.
• Ability to manage contracts, monitor performance and deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Research, prepare and present documentation required for long-term projects (e.g. approvals, statements of work, projects charters, budgets, policies and procedures)
• Complete project management from initiation to closure for infrastructure and environmental projects, including new construction, recapitalization and environmental assessment and remediation
• Coordinate stakeholder communications to ensure timely decision making
• Develop and maintain client-partner relationships and monitor contract compliance
• Prepare monthly internal and client-partner reports
