Program Overview – Project Management Office, Central Services

Sitting within our Central Services division, the Digital Transformation Office exists to enable this vision across the organization by delivering new and enhanced capabilities for digital solutions, analytics, and digital experiences with an enterprise mindset. Reporting to the Senior Portfolio Manager, Digital Transformation, as a Technical Project Manager, you will play a key role in a team focused on delivering digital solutions that enhance our capabilities and productivity for advancing our mission.

Join our dynamic team as a Technical Project Manager, where you'll lead impactful technical projects that drive positive change in our community. You'll oversee the end-to-end delivery of significant projects by liaising with key stakeholders at all levels to drive positive change for our work. You'll develop critical project artifacts and foster positive relationships to support training and change management to deliver real solutions for our staff, volunteers, and clients. What You Will Do

  • Responsible for the end-to-end delivery of large-scale technical projects, from project initiation through to implementation, onboarding and control.
  • Research, analyze, and engage in problem statement and digital solution discovery processes.
  • Liaise with all stakeholders, including Executive Sponsors, business unit and shared service representatives and others as identified.
  • Facilitate working sessions and key meetings with stakeholders from frontline users to management and leadership, as well as working teams, both internal and external.
  • Drive alignment across and between project stakeholders, including senior leaders, securing decisions as needed to move projects forward.
  • Manage vendor relationships where required, including RFP processes, vendor selection and ongoing vendor engagement.
  • Ensure project budgets and resources are managed effectively.
  • Develop and maintain critical project artifacts, inc. project plans, project roadmaps, detailed business requirements, risk assessments, stakeholder assessments, communication and change management plans.
  • Resolve issues and risks as identified, escalating where appropriate and offering recommendations.
  • Oversee communication, training and change management of impacted teams throughout all phases of project delivery.

What You Bring to the Team

  • Bachelor’s degree in a field related to Business Administration, Project Management, Computer Science, Engineering, or in a related technical field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in technical project management.
  • 3+ years of experience with business analysis, systems design and impact measurement frameworks.

What Will Set You Apart

  • Experience with SDLC, user stories, quality assurance and user tests.
  • Knowledge of waterfall and agile project management methodologies and tools.
  • Continuous improvement methodologies and process mapping.
  • Developing business requirements for technical systems.
  • Change management engagement with a variety of stakeholder groups is an asset.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing training plans.
  • Working in a non-profit organization and/or social service agency is an asset.
  • Microsoft's Dynamics 365 and Power Platform (e.g., Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages), are assets.
  • Digital solutions such as CRMs or ERPs are assets.
  • Digital solutions in healthcare, housing, education, childcare or financial services are assets.
  • Experience working in a matrixed reporting structure is an asset.
  • Interpreting stakeholders' stated business problems, and understanding how to translate them into people, process, and technology requirements for solutioning.
  • Ability to see the big picture and strategic thinking are assets.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a variety of stakeholder groups, providing recommendations and guidance as required.
  • Ability to operate independently with sound decision-making skills.
  • Facilitation, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Change management and training skills, particularly with onboarding new technologies.
  • Commitment to our social mission and values.
  • Project management certifications or demonstrated training experience are assets.
