Job summary

Horizon Aircraft, Inc. is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead the X7 development program. You will coordinate cross-functional teams across design, build, integration and flight test, ensuring alignment with milestones and budgets.

You will manage external suppliers, drive reviews, and maintain risk and change control while delivering clear status updates to leadership. This role suits a startup-friendly, fast-paced environment with a hands-on approach.

  • Maintain risk, issue, and opportunity registers and mitigation plans
  • Track budget, resources, and variances; flag issues early
  • Support configuration and change control and assess impacts of changes
  • Prepare status reports and dashboards for leadership
  • Help develop program tools and processes as the team scales

What we need you to bring.

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead and manage our X7 development program.

Your Day- To-Day
  • Plan, schedule, and track cross-functional workstreams across the program, from design through build, integration, and test.
  • Build and maintain integrated master schedules, identifying critical path, dependencies, and schedule risk.
  • Coordinate engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and flight test teams to keep deliverables aligned with program milestones.
  • Manage external suppliers and partners, including statements of work, deliverable tracking, and performance against schedule and budget.
  • Organize and support program and design reviews (ARR, PDR, CDR, etc.), and drive action items to closure.
  • Maintain risk, issue, and opportunity registers, and work with owners to execute mitigation plans.
  • Track budget, resource loading, and progress against plan, flagging variances early.
  • Support configuration and change control, ensuring cost, schedule, and interface impacts are assessed before changes are approved.
  • Prepare clear, concise status reports and dashboards for the Head of Programs and leadership.
  • Help develop and improve program tools, processes, and working methods as the team scales.

We are looking for people with demonstrated experience (5 + years) in project management within aerospace programs. You will have;

  • 5+ years of project management within aerospace programs, ideally in aircraft development, integration, or flight test.
  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience building and managing integrated schedules using MS Project, Easy8 WorkOps, or similar tools.
  • A working knowledge of the aircraft development lifecycle and systems engineering, including requirements, interfaces, and verification.
  • Experience managing suppliers and subcontractors, including SOWs, deliverables, and performance tracking.
  • An understanding of certification and airworthiness frameworks (Transport Canada, FAA, or EASA).
  • Hands‑on experience with risk management, change control, and configuration management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present status and issues clearly to leadership.
  • Comfort operating in a fast‑paced startup environment with ambiguity and shifting priorities.
  • Preferred certification: PMP or similar project management certification.
  • Assets: experience with eVTOL, hybrid‑electric propulsion, or composite structures.

Location.

We are located just outside of Lindsay, in the Kawartha Lakes area of Ontario, Canada. Our team is onsite at our facility, as a group, a minimum of two days per week. This role can be based in Lindsay or in our growing offices in Montreal and Ottawa! We offer relocation allowances in appropriate cases.
