MedIT provides information technology support for the Temerty Faculty of Medicine. Ourmission is to partner and collaborate with clients, University, and third parties to determine value based, sustainable technology solutions that enable the Faculty to achieve its academic mission.

As a Technical Project Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of IT projects within Temerty Medicine. In this role, you will collaborate with diverse teams, leveraging your exceptional interpersonal and time management skills to ensure seamless project planning and execution. By fostering strong relationships with stakeholders and maintaining clear communication across teams, you will keep projects on track and aligned with their goals. Your efforts will directly contribute to transformative IT initiatives, enhancing the experiences of staff, faculty, and students at Temerty Medicine.

Your responsibilities will include :

  • Developing and implementing project schedules and plans, including milestones, critical path, timelines, deliverables and reporting
  • Assessing project output against quality control standards and recommending changes for more efficient coordination of operations
  • Conducting risk assessments for projects ensuring timelines are met and reducing project delays
  • Analyzing project plans and processes and recommending changes to implement preventative measure and improve efficient coordination of operations and deliverables
  • Drafting relevant project documentation and correspondence including preparing meeting schedules, agendas, materials, action and follow-up items
  • Building and strengthening relationships with stakeholders and partners of strategic importance
  • Monitoring accounts for projects including collaborating on cost estimates and identifying purchases or materials required for projects

Essential Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
  • Minimum four years of relevant experience coordinating and implementing IT project plans, preferably within a University, medical education, or healthcare setting
  • Experience coordinating IT project plans and schedules from end-to-end, including determining milestones, critical path, timelines, deliverables and reporting
  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of quality control standards in relation to project outputs.
  • Familiarity with IT infrastructure, security, and desktop computing technologies
  • Experience conducting project risk assessments with inputs from project stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience drafting project documentation and correspondences
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing project plans and processes and recommending changes
  • Experience with project management tools, such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Azure DevOps
  • Technical proficiency with M365 products
  • Strong interpersonal to effectively work with a wide range of personnel including faculty, staff, and students
  • Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal.
  • Exceptional organizational skills in maintaining a diverse set of tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to take initiative and adapt to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through project analysis and problem solving.
  • Assets (Nonessential) :

  • Work experience in a university, government, or healthcare setting would be considered an asset
  • Certifications related to project management, process improvement, and business analysis (e.g., PMP, ITIL, CSM) are an asset.
