Job summary

ALTITUDE AEROSPACE in Montreal, QC seeks a Technical Program Manager to serve as the technical authority and owner of an aerospace development program, ensuring technical integrity, safety, and regulatory compliance throughout the life cycle. You will be the primary technical focal point for the customer and lead cross-disciplinary engineering teams.

The ideal candidate has 7–10 years of aerospace experience, strong aerostructures background, and proven ability to manage complex development

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary technical point of contact for the customer and internally on the project/program.
  • Lead technical reviews, design discussions, and issue resolution.
  • Lead the development of technical solutions from concept through detailed design.
  • Ensure engineering deliverables meet contractual, regulatory, and internal requirements.
  • Oversee requirements definition, allocation, and traceability.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate technical and safety risks.
  • Support the Project Manager in balancing technical, cost, and schedule constraints.

Job description

We are looking for a Technical Program Manager (TPM)

As a Technical Program Manager, you will be the technical authority and technical owner of an aerospace development program. You will play a key leadership role in ensuring the technical integrity, safety, and regulatory compliance of the product throughout its development life cycle.

Acting as the primary technical focal point for the customer, the TPM provides technical leadership across multidisciplinary engineering teams and drives alignment toward program objectives. This role requires a strong combination of aerospace engineering expertise, technical leadership, communication, and program management skills. The ideal candidate brings 7–10 years of experience, including a strong background in aerostructures engineering and experience in aerospace development programs.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Act as the primary technical point of contact for the customer and internally on the project / program;
  • Lead technical reviews, design discussions, and issue resolution.
Technical leadership & authority
  • Act as the technical authority for the project / program, with accountability for technical decisions, and technical trade-offs
  • Lead and integrate all engineering disciplines involved in the scope of work
  • Approve major technical decisions and ensure alignment with project/program objectives
  • Resolve cross-discipline technical issues and conflicts within the project/program
  • Identifies resource requirements on the project/program
Engineering & design assurance
  • Lead the development of technical solutions from concept through detailed design
  • Ensure engineering deliverables meet contractual, regulatory, and internal requirements
  • Oversee requirements definition, allocation, and traceability
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate technical and safety risks
Program & business support
  • Support the Project Manager in balancing technical, cost, and schedule constraints
