SEED is a pioneering group within Electronic Arts that combines creativity with applied research. We explore, build, and help define the future of interactive entertainment.
We exist at EA to deliver and foster inspiring innovation for our games. We do this through exploration, research, prototypes, and never-ending curiosity. We collaborate with game teams and industry partners. We publish and present our research at academic conferences and at industry events. We pursue long-term applied research yet stay relevant to the present by delivering artefacts along the way to game teams and technology groups inside EA. Some of our research includes bringing digital characters to life, using machine learning for game AI and content creation, and developing novel real-time graphics & physics techniques.
We are looking for a Technical Producer to facilitate R&D and lead productization of our latest projects, delivered in collaboration with EA's games and central teams.
As a technically-minded producer, you will be the liaison between our R&D organisation and the teams across EA - game teams, engine, and central teams, representing SEED as we work together and deliver artefacts of the research. You will also collaborate with partners including Comms, Legal, and external vendors. Identifying and removing R&D and production obstacles and empowering others is crucial in this role, and something you excel at. Working with researchers to tell the story behind the value of the work to facilitate adoption and productization is primordial. Your unique position allows you to storytell and advocate for the team's portfolio of projects, highlighting the value of the work through the relationships you will build across the company. You know how to get messages across in a succinct and relatable way. You are collaborative, communicative, and focused on building relationships. You excel in partner management and connecting individuals to maximise outcomes. As the producer at SEED, you will support projects to the finish line when they move from the R&D workbench into games, engines, pipelines, and central tools.
This hybrid role requires you to be onsite three days / week at our EA office in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. You will report to our Production Director, as an individual contributor. Being in Montreal enables you to collaborate across time zones; our team is distributed across the North American West Coast to the East Coast and Europe.
If you're ready to join a team that's pushing the boundaries of what's possible in our industry, SEED is the place for you!
We’re proud to have an extensive portfolio of games and experiences, locations around the world, and opportunities across EA. We value adaptability, resilience, creativity, and curiosity.
