Job summary

Mark Anthony Group is seeking a Technical Privacy Analyst in Vancouver to support our global privacy program. You will guide data mapping, conduct PIAs, manage data flows, and ensure privacy controls are technically feasible in collaboration with IT and security teams.

With 2+ years in privacy or data protection, you will analyze regulatory requirements, apply privacy technologies, and respond to data subject requests within timelines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor-level or higher in computer science, information systems, business, law, cybersecurity, or related field.
  • 2+ years in technical privacy, risk management, data protection, or related role.
  • Hands-on privacy tooling experience preferred (OneTrust, Cyera, BigID, Ketch).

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the 3-year global privacy strategy and plan.
  • Perform end-to-end data discovery and mapping to inventory personal information across units.
  • Support PIAs for new products, software and vendor integrations.
  • Develop understanding of data flows to identify compliance issues.
  • Maintain a global privacy risk register.
  • Bridge Global Privacy Office with IT/Security to ensure feasible privacy controls.
  • Assist multi-year privacy technology strategy and implementation plan.
  • Manage data subject requests within regulatory timeframes.
  • Assist in breach incident management as needed.

As a Technical Privacy Analyst at MAG, you will support the delivery of our global privacy program by providing proactive, expert guidance to colleagues across the organization. You will consult with business teams, to conduct technical reviews and data mapping exercises, offering practical advice on all initiatives using data to contribute to the design and strengthening of privacy practices and processes, bridging the gap between regulatory requirements and technical implementation.

What you'll do:
  • Contribute to delivery of 3-year global privacy strategy and work plan.
  • Execute end-to-end data discovery and mapping process to maintain inventory of personal information across business units.
  • Support business areas with privacy impact assessments (PIAs) on new products, software and vendor integrations, and identify areas of risk.
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of data flows to identify and assist in resolving compliance issues.
  • Support the maintenance of a global privacy risk register.
  • Act as a bridge between the Global Privacy Office and IT/Security teams to ensure privacy controls are technically feasible and properly implemented.
  • Contribute to development of multi-year privacy technology strategy and implementation plan.
  • Manage consumer requests for data subject requests (DSR) within regulatory timeframes.
  • Contribute as needed in the management of potential breach incidents.
What you have:
  • Post secondary education in computer science, information systems, business, law, cybersecurity, or related field of study.
  • 2+ years of experience in a technical privacy, risk management, data protection, or related role.
  • Practical knowledge of applying privacy laws and regulatory requirements is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with privacy-enhancing technologies or data mapping tools (i.e., OneTrust, Cyera, BigID, or Ketch) is an asset.
  • Understanding data protection principles and practices.
  • Strong communicator able to distill complex technical and regulatory requirements into clear, actionable business insights.
