The Conservation Job Board is looking for a Technical Officer – Biodiversity to manage and deliver biodiversity monitoring and data management activities. The role requires collaboration within a specialized team and engagement with various stakeholders to enhance environmental outcomes. Candidates should have a tertiary qualification in ecology or environmental science, along with experience in field data collection and ecological monitoring. The position offers a salary range between CAD 68,548 and CAD 80,645, plus benefits such as flexible working options and training opportunities.

Mō te tūnga | About the role
The Technical Officer – Biodiversity is responsible for the delivery of biodiversity field monitoring activities and data management. This includes working collaboratively and cohesively within the Biodiversity team, providing technical assistance to the Ecologists, Biodiversity Officers and Biodiversity Team Lead.
The role encompasses engagement with landowners, iwi/hapu and a range of internal and external stakeholders to drive improved environmental outcomes.
This position is fixed-term for a period of two years (until August 2027) to cover a secondment.
