Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Technical Lead Solution Architect with a strong foundation in Microsoft technologies. You will be responsible for designing, governing, and delivering end-to-end enterprise solutions that integrate custom .NET applications with the Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, and SQL Server on Azure VMs.
• Configure, maintain and administer database objects such as tables, indexes, views, stored procedures, and functions.
• Implement and maintain backup and restore strategies, including automated Azure backups.
• Performance tuning: monitor queries, index tuning, and resolve deadlocks or bottlenecks.
• Monitor SQL workloads using Azure Monitor, Azure SQL Insights, Log Analytics, Query Store.
• Implement data security best practices: encryption (TDE, Always Encrypted), secrets management via Azure Key Vault.
• Manage RBAC roles, least-privilege access, and security auditing.
• Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
• High availability and disaster recovery: configure and maintain Azure SQL failover groups, availability zones, geo‑replication.
• Validate disaster recovery plans and conduct failover tests.
• Automate administrative tasks using PowerShell, Azure CLI, Azure Automation, Runbooks, Terraform, ARM or Bicep templates. Support CI/CD pipelines for database releases using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Maintain infrastructure: apply patches, updates, and troubleshoot across Azure SQL and SQL Server infrastructure.
• Analyze logs, alerts, and capacity trends to ensure optimal database health.

Salary

Salary Range: CA$ 100,000 – CA$ 120,000 Per Year
