Job summary

Michael Page International (Canada) seeks a senior .NET lead to steer technical direction while remaining hands-on with development. You will mentor a small team, review code, and align engineering delivery with business priorities across stakeholders.

Responsibilities include defining roadmaps, building scalable .NET services, and promoting quality through design reviews and testing best practices. Azure and Agile familiarity are desirable in a manufacturing context.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years in software development using C# and .NET.
  • Experience designing and supporting RESTful APIs and microservice-oriented architectures.
  • Experience leading technical work for a team, including mentoring developers, reviewing code, guiding implementation decisions, planning, and delivery.
  • Ability to work effectively with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to deliver practical solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, sound technical judgment, and a focus on quality and maintainability.
  • Experience with Git-based workflows and collaborative development practices.
  • Bachelor's degree in CS/Software Eng or equivalent practical experience.

Qualifications and Skills

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will bring at least seven years of software development experience, with strong expertise in C#, .NET, RESTful APIs, and microservice-based architectures. They will have a proven track record of leading technical teams through mentoring, code reviews, implementation guidance, and project delivery while remaining hands-on in development activities. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills will enable them to translate business requirements into practical software solutions and collaborate effectively across engineering, QA, and business teams. Experience with Git-based development practices is essential, while knowledge of Azure, Agile methodologies, manufacturing, engineering software, or HVAC-related domains would be advantageous. They will be a collaborative leader with excellent problem-solving abilities, sound technical judgment, and a strong commitment to software quality, maintainability, and continuous improvement.
