Compensation Band: 2
Normal Hiring range: $24.30-$30.00 per hour

What To Expect
The Technical Illustrator (Contractor role) is responsible for creating high-quality, detailed illustrations of complex technical or scientific information and supporting art assets. They work with SMEs and/or other technical specialists to create imagery that is easily understood by non-technical audiences. Technical illustrators perform research and consult reference as required for accuracy in renderings, and ensure artwork conforms to departmental standards for style, consistency, and quality for all print and digital products developed by the Education and Learning Development team. Technical illustrators are also responsible for curating and maintaining the department’s asset library, utilizing industry best practices, and being familiar with industry trends and tools.
