R&M is a service area within Coventry City Council which provides repair and maintenance services to Coventry City's operational, commercial and school portfolio. We have a dedicated team with over 30 years' experience of completing emergency and responsive repairs, planned preventative maintenance schedules and property improvements and refurbishments.
The R&M team is multi-disciplined providing building works, refurbishments, general maintenance, gas servicing, maintenance and installations, electrical works and a 24 hour a day, 365 days a year emergency call out service across all trades.

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Technical FM Support Officer, reporting directly to the Facilities Support Manager. As Technical FM Support you will support the repairs and maintenance service to ensure the delivery of a high quality, customer focussed and responsive service. This role will include the full technical management of the service including an effective deployment of a multi skilled workforce, prioritising and directing resources to ensure all work is completed within targets using a CAFM system, ordering parts, invoicing and monitoring costs against order value. Under the direction of the Facilities Support Manager the post holder will assist with the supervision, co-ordination and delivery of a high-quality building's maintenance and repair service.
We are seeking an individual with a background in Facilities Management or experience in similar customer service roles. The ideal applicant will have experience using CAFM systems, used for scheduling a wide range of tasks for a diverse workforce work, necessary to improve service delivery across a range of facilities, ensuring exceptional service and efficiency.
Who are we looking for?Prior experience in similar sector is not essential, but you will need to bring commitment, passion, attention to detail, a strong desire to learn and strong sense for safety. No 2 days are the same within this fast-paced operating environment. Team working and problem solving will be skills you rely on to succeed.
Applicants must have at least a Maths GCSE 4/C or above (Or equivalent) and a GCSE 3/D or above (Or equivalent). Time management skills are essential.
