Job summary

Syngenta Canada is seeking a Technical Field Intern to support the evaluation of crop protection technologies and digital ag tools. You will gain hands-on experience in field trials, data collection, and information management while collaborating with the sales team and growers.

The Emerging Talent Program offers exposure to day-to-day operations and real-world challenges, with opportunities to apply academic knowledge and develop professional skills.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or completed a degree/diploma from an accredited university/college.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for customer experience.
  • Comfortable working in a remote environment.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Execute the research authorization and validation trial program for the local geography.
  • Collect and share data and key learnings to stakeholders.
  • Support the development of technical product content and information management.
  • Collaborate with the local sales team and growers to ensure projects meet protocol and regulatory requirements.
  • Support incorporation of digital technologies into data capture.
  • Lead compilation and summarization of data across projects with digital data service providers.
  • Assist with tours of field sites as required.

To support Syngenta Bringing Plant Potential to Life, the Technical Field team is currently seeking a Technical Field Intern. As an intern, you will help support the commercial evaluation of crop protection technologies and digital ag tools.

As part of Syngenta's Emerging Talent Program, you will gain hands-on experience, exposure to day-to-day business operations, and opportunities to apply your academic knowledge to real-world challenges while developing your professional skills.

Duration: May 2027-August 2027 OR May 2027 - December 2027.

Accountabilities

  • Execute the research authorization and validation trial program for the local geography.
  • Collect and share data and key learnings to stakeholders.
  • Support the development of technical product content and participate in information management.
  • Collaborate with the local sales team and work with selected growers to ensure projects are executed according to protocol and meet all regulatory and stewardship requirements.
  • Support the incorporation of digital technologies into data capture.
  • Lead the compilation and summarization of data across projects working with digital data service providers as projects require.
  • Assist with tours of field sites as required.
Qualifications

Required

  • A positive attitude and excitement for learning.
  • Currently pursuing or completeda degree/diploma from an accredited university/college.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
  • Comfortable working in aremote environment.
  • Valid drivers license.

The hourly salaryfor this position is CAD 23.50 - 30.50.Thisrangereflects market rates and isultimately determinedby several factors including the candidate’s skill, experience, and relevant education.
