We are seeking an experienced Technical Editor / Assistant Training Manager who will be responsible for supporting On-Site Training Manager and other staff in managing the development of technical manuals and training materials for a light rail transit design-build project. Duties include reviewing and commenting on manuals and training materials provided by subcontractors and internal staff for various subsystems and components of the Edmonton Valley Line West LRT project. The Technical Editor / Assistant Training Manager will also develop content and produce training deliverables not being done by others, based on input from engineers, design materials, off-the-shelf product data, and other technical sources. The tasks will include review of manuals, drawings, plans, method statements, risk assessments and specifications. They will support the delivery of training and materials to the customer / light rail operator staff, in train-the-trainer format, that meets all applicable requirements and best practices. This includes training course development relative to the specific to this light rail project, working with designers and other technical staff to develop content, organizing training course deliveries with subcontractor and in-house trainers, and arranging for video recordings of training sessions.
