Technical Director, Water & Wastewater Treatment . This senior role will lead a diverse range of water and wastewater infrastructure projects across British Columbia. The preferred location for this role is our Vancouver office. Other WSP locations in British Columbia will be considered.

What you can expect to do here :

  • Thrive in a team environment with the ability to develop innovative design and planning solutions and proactively manage interactions with other team members;
  • Provide technical direction and guidance to the engineering team on design calculations, process and equipment selection, specifications, and contract document preparation;
  • Provide technical advisory services to clients for water and wastewater services;
  • Deliver engineering projects in accordance with client requirements and in line with company and industry best practice;
  • Prepare analyses, reports, designs, drawings, specifications, cost estimates, presentations, and reports as required;
  • Work with Marketing Team to develop win strategies and contribute to the preparation of high quality and strategic proposals
  • Develop and maintain a network of technical / professional support within WSP and the industry.

What you'll bring to WSP :

  • Bachelors or Master's Degree from an accredited University (specializing in water / wastewater treatment, is preferred);
  • Registration in good standing as a P.Eng. in British Columbia, or eligibility to be registered;
  • 10+ years of engineering experience in municipal water and / or wastewater infrastructure planning, design, project management, and commissioning;
  • Technical skills should be municipal-related and any of the following skills would be considered preferred assets :

Design of wastewater treatment infrastructure

  • Design of water treatment processes
  • Hydraulic analysis
  • Ability to work with peers and colleagues within WSP globally.

Compensation

Salary range (in British Columbia) : $163,400 - $224,700

The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs. The salary range provided in this job posting may be subject to change for business purposes.
