Technical Data Package Lead Engineer - Ship Integration

This position is part of the Rotary and Mission Systems business area, supporting engineering, systems integration, training, sustainment, and in-service support programs for Canadian and international military customers across land, air, and sea.

Job Description:

The selected individual will oversee the delivery of the Combat System Technical Data Package (TDP) to the Canadian Surface Combatant Warship Designer. They will facilitate synchronization of technical data across multiple teams, requiring organizational, coordination, and interpersonal skills. This role offers leadership opportunity, technical engagement, and impact on key defense projects.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supervise TDP project delivery
  • Manage all aspects of the TDP, including GFX, DCS, FMS, and Cable components
  • Lead a team of 2-5 ship integration engineers
  • Use Jira and Agile methodologies for planning and tracking
  • Manage processes for TDP outputs
  • Coordinate with vendors for SDRL compliance
  • Manage VFI reviews
  • Engage with clients and subcontractors to validate data
  • Provide status updates and metrics
  • Implement process improvements
  • Ensure timely delivery of quality TDP products

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree/diploma in electrical, mechanical engineering, naval architecture, or related fields
  • 5-8 years of experience
  • Experience with Agile methodologies
  • Leadership and teamwork skills
  • Ability to prioritize demands

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with technical data management and subcontractor collaboration
  • Knowledge of cable engineering, naval systems, and defense systems engineering
