About The Role:

Trouw Nutrition is seeking a Technical Dairy Sales Representative to grow the Alberta dairy portfolio by providing expert on‑farm nutrition consultation and building strong relationships with local dairy producers.

Responsibilities:
  • Grow the Alberta Dairy Portfolio: Actively develop and expand Trouw’s regional dairy business.
  • Provide On‑Farm Technical Consulting: In collaboration with the nutrition team, perform ration balancing and offer expert consultation to dairy producers to maximize herd productivity and profitability.
  • Cultivate Customer Relationships: Build and maintain strong, trusting, and long‑term business relationships with both established and potential dairy customers.
  • Develop Sales Strategies: Create compelling sales presentations, proposals, and materials to clearly illustrate the benefits of Trouw Nutrition's products to producers.
  • Represent Trouw Nutrition: Act as a professional and knowledgeable representative at customer events, trade shows, and industry conferences.
Skills and Expertise
Qualifications:
  • A BSc in agricultural science or a related field.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and passion for the Alberta Dairy industry and dairy operations across Western Canada.
  • Proven ability to build trusting and long‑term relationships with dairy producers.
  • Strong combination of interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational / time management skills.
Expectation from the Role:

Able to travel frequently through the Alberta region.
