Job description

Technical Cyber Security Program Manager to support client in the public Sector

Contract: 4-5 Months + possibility of extension

  • Manage and coordinate cybersecurity programs and projects from start to finish
  • Work with IT, security, and business teams to define goals, timelines, and deliverables
  • Lead initiatives such as identity management, vulnerability management, cloud security, and incident response
  • Monitor project risks, resolve issues, and keep stakeholders informed
  • Make sure projects meet compliance and security standards (like NIST, ISO, SOC2)
  • Prepare regular status updates and reports for leadership
  • Help improve our overall cybersecurity strategy and processes
Must Haves:
  • 5+ years of experience in project or program management, with at least 2–3 years in cybersecurity
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity tools and concepts (e.g., IAM, firewalls, DLP, cloud security)
  • Experience managing technical projects across different teams
  • Good communication and organization skills
  • Ability to solve problems and drive progress
  • Certifications like PMP, CISSP, or CISM are a plus
Nice to Have:
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Knowledge of security standards and frameworks
  • Comfortable using project tools like Jira or Smartsheet
