We’re working with a top-tier insurance company looking to add a Claims Technical Specialist to their Specialty Claims team. This is a hybrid role based in downtown Toronto, offering the opportunity to work both remotely and in a collaborative office environment.

This position is ideal for a senior claims professional who thrives on managing complex files with precision and confidence, while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Title: Claims Technical Specialist – Specialty Liability

Location: Hybrid | Downtown Toronto (In-office ~50%)

?? In This Role, You Will:

  • Manage complex and sensitive casualty and litigation claims
  • Handle a diverse specialty portfolio including Class Actions, E&O, D&O, Abuse, Surety, Cyber, and Bad Faith
  • Conduct in-depth coverage analysis and investigations
  • Evaluate liability, assess damages, and negotiate fair settlements
  • Communicate effectively with claimants, brokers, and legal counsel
  • Ensure timely and strategic file management in a fast-paced environment

?? What You Bring:

  • 7–10+ years of experience in casualty and litigation claims adjusting
  • Solid knowledge of case law, arbitration, and provincial legislation
  • Experience with litigation planning and resolution strategies
  • Post-secondary education in insurance or a related program
  • CIP designation (completed or in progress)
  • A customer-first mindset and strong organizational skills
