Primary Objective of the Position

Under the general direction of the Manager of Purchasing, assist with procurement of aircraft parts and materials as requested by maintenance engineering and planning departments, ensuring compliance with Cargojet’s policies, procedures, and technical documentation.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Source procurement and obtain quotations for aircraft parts, tools, materials, and services, adhering to internal controls and purchasing policies.
• Ensure parts are purchased from approved sources (AVL) with proper documentation, including certifications from FAA, TC, EASA, and WHMIS.
• Maintain effective communication with Stores, Maintenance, and MCC regarding AOG, MEL, and high-priority shipments.
• Obtain Material Return Authorizations and follow up as needed.
• Participate in periodic on-call duties during after-hours and weekends.
• Electronically file all procurement-related documents such as purchase orders, quotes, certifications, and specifications.
• Stay knowledgeable of all relevant company and government manuals and documents.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment.

Minimum Qualifications

• Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and prioritize effectively in a high-pressure environment.
