They have engaged ROSS (www.getROSS.com) to help them recruit an Intermediate to Senior Technical Business Analyst. ROSS is a team of People Specialists helping companies align their People Strategy with their business growth. We provide remote or onsite HR and Recruitment solutions such as Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) and Recruitment Augmentation complemented by leading-edge open-source HRIS software.
Position Overview: This person will join the Product Management team and be responsible for the development and management of feature requirements. This person will work with a number of groups in the organization including Engineering, QA, Client Services, and the Executive Management team as well as interface directly with customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with solutions architects to build product requirements specifications.
- Work with engineering to communicate requirements and track product development progress.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams composed of Engineering, Sales, Client Services, and Executives to communicate and manage product deliverables.
- Conduct user acceptance testing of all new functionality.
- Manage beta programs and deployments.
- Work with Client Services team members and the Training Service Department to update and develop training materials.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of relevant experience in design and implementation of large scale enterprise server consolidation, virtualization or cloud migration projects or management/operations of virtualized environments.
- Knowledge of diverse virtualization technologies (VMware, IBM LPARs, OVM, HyperV, etc.).
- Knowledge of Windows and UNIX operating systems.
- Understanding of Capacity Planning and Performance Management concepts and familiarity with solutions available in the market.
- Understanding of change control concepts and frameworks (e.g. ITIL).
- Demonstrated ability to understand a complex distributed software system.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, commitments, and projects.
- Direct Product Management or Business Analysis experience is a benefit.
- Familiar with software/product development processes improvement (Waterfall, Agile - Scrum).
- Prior Software Development experience is a benefit.
- Must be able to grasp highly technical concepts quickly, develop content, and independently document features for target audiences.
- Strong oral communication skills and excellent technical writing skills.
- Strong team player and enjoys working in a fast-paced team atmosphere.
- Travel is required for this position (up to 10%).
- A B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or a related field is strongly preferred.
