Department: Assessment and Taxation. Designated Work Location: 457 Main Street; Hybrid with designated work location. Position Type: Temporary (up to 24 months), Full time, 35 hours per week. Hours of Work: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday. Salary: $1,687.56 - $2,110.23 bi-weekly, as per the Technical Assistant Classification within the C.U.P.E. Collective Agreement. Employee Group: C.U.P.E. Posting No.: 126535. Closing Date: December 9, 2025.

Job Profile
  • Gathers and verifies assessment related data and enters into computer system for assigned property types for the purpose of property valuation.
  • Perform inspections pertaining to assessment roll production/maintenance.
  • Perform general office work in connection with realty and business assessment roll production.
  • Provide strong customer service.
Your Education And Qualifications Include
  • High school diploma supplemented by post-secondary courses in business administration, commerce, building trades or other related field.
  • Previous customer service experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency at a basic level using Microsoft Office software including Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Demonstrated ability to make accurate mathematical calculations.
  • Accurate data entry skills with a demonstrated ability to record accurate and detailed information.
  • Good judgement skills demonstrating the ability to assess and capture relevant information.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and set and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing complex or technical information to a diverse client group.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, other employees and the general public.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to pay attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage conflict and make appropriate conflict management skills.
