Job description

The Net Ready Key Performance (NR KPP) and Information Support Plan (ISP) Specialist will provide technical and engineering support services for ISP development and approval. Should have experience with DoD and especially Army networks, radios, information systems, standards, and waveforms. Work products including ISPs and NR KPPs using the DoD Information Systems Agency (DISA) Joint Assessments and Standards Management (JASM) tool set to develop ISPs and NR KPPs. Will interface with Army Acquisition Programs, DISA, the Joint Chief of Staff J6, and The Army G6.

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Applies engineering principles to investigate, analyze, and plan military weapons and other systems ISPs and NR KPPs.
  2. Reviews and prepares engineering and technical analyses, and other technical documentation.
  3. Applies engineering experience to perform functions such as acquisition documentation and coordinate for approval of ISPs and NR KPPs.
  4. Analyzes functional requirements of military systems and translate them from operational to system solutions and architectures to include communications, information, and network areas of consideration.
  5. Complete data and information in the JASM for military systems.
  6. Recommend and prepare schedules and work requirements to develop ISPs and NR KPPs.
  7. Interfaces with government and contract personnel in the Army Acquisition Programs, DISA, the Joint Chief of Staff J6, and The Army G6.
  8. Be familiar with and understand DoD standards; DoD, Joint Staff, and Army CIO policy; DoD CIO, Joint Staff; and Army Instructions and Directives related to NR KPP, ISP; and DoD, Joint, and Army information, communication, and network areas.

Required Skills:

  1. Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
  2. Must be able to obtain/maintain an Interim Secret security clearance.
  3. ABET accredited BS Degree with Information Support Plan (ISP) experience; 8 years of overall experience.
  4. Experience with Planning and execution, Documents Development and/or Management.
  5. Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills. Familiar with the Department of Defense (DOD) communications, information and computer systems and processes.
  6. Familiar with DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF) and/or Unified Architecture Foundation (UAF) architectures. Competent in MS-Word, MS-Excel, MS-Power Point and MS Project.

Desired Skills:

  1. Desired Experience: 3 or more years of experience in Army and Joint communication and/or information systems. Familiarization with JASM, NR KPPs and or ISPs.
  2. 4 years ABET accredited Communications, Information or Computer Engineering Degree preferred with a minimum of 8 years of experience in an Engineering role.
