Job Summary

We seek a Tech Lead Platform Engineer – AI & MLOps to lead the evolution of Enable’s cloud-native platform, ensuring scalability, reliability, and efficiency of our SaaS infrastructure. The role involves architecting and optimizing high-performance distributed systems and enabling MLOps capabilities for AI-driven applications.

You will collaborate across teams to develop best-in-class platform solutions supporting product engineering, data engineering, and AI/ML teams. Your responsibilities include establishing best practices, automating workflows, and ensuring infrastructure security, resilience, and future-readiness.

Key Responsibilities

SaaS Platform Engineering

• Design, build, and optimize a scalable, multi-tenant cloud-native SaaS platform.
• Develop and maintain core infrastructure components such as compute, networking, observability, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement cloud cost optimization, security, and system reliability best practices.
• Enhance API gateways, identity management, and service orchestration for seamless integrations.

MLOps & AI Infrastructure

• Architect and manage scalable AI/ML pipelines for training, deployment, and monitoring.
• Develop MLOps workflows using tools like Kubeflow and MLflow.
• Optimize ML model inference for real-time and batch processing in production environments.
• Collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers to streamline model lifecycle management.

Automation, Observability & Performance

• Implement Infrastructure-as-Code practices with Terraform or Pulumi.
• Build automated monitoring solutions for system health, performance, and security.
• Enhance CI/CD processes to support high-velocity engineering teams.
• Establish comprehensive logging, tracing, and metrics collection for visibility.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Leadership

• Work with engineering teams to support product innovation and reliability.
• Partner with security teams to ensure compliance with SaaS security standards.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for system and model performance.
• Document platform engineering best practices and mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in platform, DevOps, or cloud engineering; 3+ years in SaaS environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Expertise in cloud-native application deployment on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Strong experience with Kubernetes, serverless, and container orchestration.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Pulumi) and CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD).
• Experience with distributed systems, service mesh (Istio, Linkerd), and event-driven architectures.
• Hands-on with SQL, NoSQL, and vector databases for high availability and performance.
• Deep understanding of SaaS security, identity management, and compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001).
• Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, Bash.
• Experience with microservices and API development.
• Familiarity with MLOps frameworks and ML operationalization.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with large-scale data pipelines and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, ELK).
• Knowledge of real-time data processing platforms (Kafka, Pub/Sub, Kinesis).
• Experience with high-availability, distributed architectures globally.
• Work in AI and MLOps at the intersection of ML, engineering, and cloud infrastructure.
• Cloud certifications (AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer).
• Contributions to open-source DevOps or MLOps tooling.
