You will serve as the primary technology partner for the equity derivatives business, translating complex business requirements into scalable, high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, development, and delivery of sales technology solutions supporting equity derivatives and structured products distribution.
  • Architect and own the design of a scalable order management system (OMS) for equity derivatives, covering the full order lifecycle (initiation, pre-trade checks, execution, booking, settlement, and post-trade management).
  • Architect and build integrations with vendor platforms including SIMON, Luma, Evooq, OTCX, Halo, and CAIS to support product distribution, lifecycle management, and reporting workflows.
  • Drive adoption of digital distribution channels and self-service tooling for internal and external clients.
  • Manage and maintain Bloomberg structured note contribution workflows, ensuring accurate and timely secondary market price publication via the BSYM/BBGID framework and coordinating with the Bloomberg terminal integration layer.
  • Design and own relational database schemas (SQL) and document store models (MongoDB) supporting trade data, product catalogues, client activity, and reporting pipelines.
  • Evaluate, onboard, and manage relationships with third-party technology vendors.
  • Collaborate with compliance, legal, and risk teams to ensure solutions meet regulatory requirements (e.g., MiFID II).
  • Define and enforce coding standards, architecture patterns, and best practices across the sales technology stack.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and business analysts on the team.
  • Monitor system performance, manage incident response, and own the reliability of production systems.

  • Strong hands-on proficiency in Python and Java; ability to own full-stack delivery across both.
  • Deep understanding of equity derivatives products (including structured notes, autocallables, barrier options, and equity-linked products) from a sales and technology perspective.
  • Demonstrated experience working with or integrating into structured product distribution platforms: SIMON, Luma, Evooq, OTCX, Halo, and/or CAIS.
  • Proven experience managing Bloomberg structured note contribution workflows, including secondary market price publication, BSYM/BBGID identifiers, and Bloomberg terminal integration.
  • Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and working with FIX or other financial messaging protocols.
  • Strong database proficiency across both relational and document-oriented paradigms.
  • Solid understanding of trade lifecycle, order management, and structured product workflows.
  • Proven track record of leading technical delivery in an Agile environment.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with sales, trading, and senior stakeholders.
Soft Skills
  • Confident communicator, able to engage sales, trading, and senior stakeholders with clarity and credibility.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, balancing competing priorities across business and technology teams.
  • Mentorship-oriented, invested in developing junior engineers and analysts.
  • Pragmatic and delivery-focused, comfortable owning outcomes under production pressure.
  • Collaborative cross-functional partner, working closely with compliance, legal, and risk teams.
  • Structured, analytical thinker able to translate ambiguous business requirements into technical designs.
