Job summary

The University of Ottawa is seeking two Teaching Assistants/Demonstrators/Lab Monitors (CUPE) for the Winter 2027 session to support the course Technology Entrepreneurship for Engineers and Computer Scientists (GNG4120/GNG5120). Work includes student contact, grading, and supervision with a total of 130 hours between January 4 and April 30, 2027.

Undergraduate students are paid at the lower rate and graduate students at the higher rate, with lookouts for proctoring mid-term and final exams.

Qualifications

• Preference will be given to candidates who have completed this course or its equivalent and it's prerequisite(s).
• Student must have taken entrepreneurship courses and written business plans before.

Responsibilities

• Proctor exams (mid-term and final) and supervise during assessments.
• Grade/mark student work and provide feedback.
• Contact with students and assist with questions during the course.
• Support course logistics and general teaching assistance responsibilities.
