Uncertified Tech Ed teacher applications may be considered with a commitment to complete the TRB Letter of Permission.

Specific To This Posting

  • Bachelor of Education (Secondary)
  • BCIT Technology Education Teacher Certification or equivalent training and qualifications
  • Two years successful experience teaching Tech Ed at the secondary school level
  • Thorough knowledge of the Tech Ed curriculum
  • Familiarity with WHMIS, MSDS, and appropriate health and safety regulations in a shop/lab
  • Demonstrated successful experience implementing and maintaining safety procedures
  • A high level of proficiency with computers in their use for instructional support
  • Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work with a wide range of students in a positive and active learning environment
  • Strong classroom management and organizational skills
  • Ability to adjust curriculum and assessment strategies to meet the needs of a wide range of students
