Job summary

Humber River Health in Toronto is hiring a Registered Nurse to support general medicine, geriatrics and stroke care on a full-time basis. You will participate in care planning, documentation using computerized systems, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team during rotating 12-hour shifts.

The role requires current Ontario nursing registration, BCLS, and strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Current BCLS certification or an agreement to obtain within 3 months of commencement into the position.
• 2 years acute medical/surgical inpatient experience preferred.
• Demonstrated patient assessment skills (Advance Physical Assessment).
• Excellent organizational skills with an ability to set priorities, sound problem solving, conflict resolution and decision-making skills.
• Excellent patient/family teaching skills and an ability to promote family centered care.
• Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work with multidisciplinary team, patients, family members and visitors.
• Computer skills required.
• Excellent attendance and discipline free record required.
