Job description

Tyndale is a Christian university that prepares leaders for work in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors, ministry and the global mission of the church. Tyndale offers fully accredited programs in a wide range of disciplines at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Currently, there are over 1,600 students representing over 40 denominations and 60 ethnic backgrounds and over 13,000 alumni. Founded in 1894, Tyndale is located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

POSITION PURPOSE
The position of Team Support, Education Programs exists in order to improve the effectiveness of day-to-day operations by providing exceptional service to teacher candidates, and completing administrative duties that support the efforts of the department. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Assist the Education office by:
  • Positively representing Tyndale in a professional manner at all times
  • Checking in with supervisor regularly to determine the tasks to be completed and report on progress
  • Assisting administrative personnel and professors in providing photocopies, filing, organizing, and data entry
  • Organizing and maintaining instructional materials
  • Providing tech support to instructors
  • Participating in special projects as assigned

2. Provide Support to the Education Programs by:

  • Provide support to the Education Programs by:
  • Taking photos at department events
  • Submitting story ideas and photos to the Tyndale marketing department to highlight and celebrate the program and its teacher candidates on a bi-monthly basis
  • Attend interviews and events, as needed, to provide support
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
a) Education
  • Post-secondary education; completed or in process
  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution
b) Experience
  • Experience using various technology platforms and tools, including Zoom and G-Workspace for Education an asset
  • Customer service experience an asset
c) Skills and Abilities
  • Demonstrated commitment to providing outstanding customer service
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong organization and administration skills
  • Creativity or online marketing (social media) skills an asset
d) Personal Characteristics
  • Committed to Tyndale mission, values, statement of faith and community standards statements
  • Adaptable to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated to work effectively with minimal supervision

Physical and Mental Demands
  • Available for both remote and on-campus shifts
  • Ability to manage time and complete tasks online without direct oversight
  • Willingness and availability for a somewhat flexible work schedule (weekend hours may be requested for some events)
Hourly Rate:

$17.60
