Job description

Linck Child, Youth & Family Supports (“Linck”) requires one (1) part-time, contract Team Secretary-Mental Health. This contract would begin as soon as possible and last 6 months.

The incumbent in this position will provide secretarial, clerical and certain administrative support for the Mental Health and Early Developmental Service Teams of the Agency.

Qualifications:
  • One (1) year, Community College diploma in Office Administration/Secretarial Studies or equivalent.
  • Over three (3) months and up to and including one (1) year of practical experience.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with the public and staff with a pleasant, courteous, and professional manner.
  • The ability to work co-operatively with, support and assist other Agency staff in the performance of their duties.
  • Good understanding of English grammar and the ability to edit written material.
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to maintain various kinds of accounting, inventory, file index and statistical records.
  • The ability to take dictation and to type quickly and accurately; correspondence, reports and forms from written, dictated and typed notes.
  • The ability to communicate in a friendly, assertive and constructive manner when dealing with colleagues and members of the public.
  • Computer and keyboarding skills, extensive use of word-processing programs and knowledge of relevant database software programs.
