A Potbelly Associate helps our customers enjoy their lunch by providing fast, friendly, and efficient service, delivering quality products in a clean, inviting environment.

Candidate Qualifications:

• Desire to delight customers with great food and good vibes
• Friendly and customer service-oriented
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to handle kitchen heat; knife skills a plus
• Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
• Team player
• Comfortable with noise levels from music and customer traffic
• Ability to manage allergens (peanut, egg, dairy, gluten, soy, seafood, shellfish)
• Stand/walk for at least 3 hours
• Minimum age: 16 years
• Lift up to 10 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally
• Illinois applicants: food safety certification within 30 days

Job Duties:

• Operate multiple stations as directed
• Maintain health and safety standards
• Restock food line and supplies
• Prepare sandwiches, salads, soups, etc.
• Use slicer for food prep (18+)
• Clean and sanitize work areas
• Handle cash transactions
• Address customer complaints
• Manage delivery, catering, and pickup orders
• Additional duties as assigned
