Job summary

Croesus is seeking a Team Leader to drive software engineering projects with a hands-on leadership approach. You will coach and develop a talented team while shaping technical direction and ensuring delivery of high-quality wealth management solutions.

The role combines leadership with hands-on development, Scrum/Kanban practices, and collaboration with stakeholders in a hybrid Laval/Montréal environment. Fluency in French is mandatory.

Qualifications

The working language is French; perfect command is required.
BAC/AEC in CS or related field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum 10 years of software development, including 5 in leadership.
Experience in the financial sector is a major asset.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise a talented software team, guiding technical deliverables.
Contribute to design, development, testing, and deployment of the platform.
Collaborate with Product Manager to define objectives and plan work.
Ensure on-time delivery within budget and ensure best practices.

Your Role as Team Leader

As a Team Leader, you will play an essential role in the success of our software engineering projects. You will provide leadership and development for a talented team while actively participating in their technical deliverables.

Main Responsibilities

Leadership and Supervision

Coach, motivate, and support team members to achieve a high level of performance.
Manage schedules, evaluate performance, and identify training and development needs.
Actively participate in the recruitment and integration of new talent.
Foster a positive, collaborative work environment, and promote transparent communication.
Set individual and collective goals aligned with the company's vision.

Technical Contribution

Contribute your expertise by participating in the design, development, implementation, testing, deployment, maintenance, and improvement of our platform.
Ensure that peer reviews are executed according to company standards.
Stay up-to-date on new technologies, best practices, and market trends.
Propose innovative solutions to improve the efficiency and quality of the team's work.

Project Management

Collaborate with stakeholders to define the team's objectives and priorities.
Estimate workloads and plan activities in collaboration with the Product Manager.
Track project progress, identify risks, and ensure delivery on time and within budget, in compliance with established standards and processes.

Requirements:

The working language is French. A perfect command of French (oral and written) is mandatory.

Education And Experience

BAC/AEC in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in software development, including 5 years in a leadership role (direct or indirect).
Experience in the financial sector (a major asset).

Technical Skills

Bilingualism (French and English) (essential).
Proficiency with IT tools (Google Workspace, Atlassian Suite).
Solid knowledge of SQL databases.
Knowledge of .Net platforms.
Experience with agile methodology (Scrum, Kanban) and knowledge of good development practices (unit testing, continuous integration).
Understanding of software architecture principles.
