Team Leader – Regional Data Collection | Kaihautū Tira – Kohinga Raraunga

As a Team Leader - Regional Data Collection, you will be responsible for managing multi-modal data collection within regionally based teams. Kaimahi in these teams work flexibly under a Guaranteed Minimum Hours contract, across seven days as working hours are largely driven by respondent availability.

The role | Te tūnga

As a Team Leader - Regional Data Collection, you will manage multi-modal data collection within regionally based teams. These teams work flexibly under a Guaranteed Minimum Hours contract across seven days, with hours driven by respondent availability.

You will lead the day-to-day operations of a Data Collection team, motivating, coaching, and directing frontline staff to achieve optimal outcomes for our customers and stakeholders. Building strong relationships with internal teams such as the Optimisation, Performance & Development team and the Support & Ingestion team within Collection Operations is essential.

The role involves leading teams with varying hours and employment types, requiring availability to support your team, including some evenings and weekends.

Applicants must reside in Taupo, Eastern Bay of Plenty, or Hawke's Bay Region.

Ideal candidates will have :

  • A relevant tertiary qualification and/or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a service delivery environment
  • Experience with CRM systems, Work Allocation tools, telephony software (e.g., Salesforce, Genesys Cloud), and Microsoft Office Suite
  • A passion for building and coaching high-performing, diverse teams, with proven leadership experience
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, negotiation, and reporting skills
  • A customer-focused approach and ability to connect with social, cultural, or business groups
  • The ability to work remotely with reliable internet
  • Knowledge or interest in Te Tiriti, Tikanga, Te Reo, and Te Ao Māori
