Position Title : Team Leader, Quality Control - Chemistry

Job Purpose : The team leader in the analysis department organizes material and human resources to meet short-term needs. They coordinate work distribution, act as the reference point for technicians, and perform chemical analyses of raw materials, finished products, packaging materials, and stability testing, adhering to HSE, GMP, GPP, and other relevant standards.

Main Responsibilities :

  • Perform chemical and instrumental analyses according to approved methods.
  • Troubleshoot chemical analyses and laboratory instruments.
  • Complete documentation of analyses according to standards and procedures (LIMS, investigations).
  • Participate in various departmental projects and special tasks as required.
  • Assist in drafting procedures and operational manuals.
  • Maintain technical qualifications and knowledge of current methods and procedures.
  • Calibrate equipment used according to appropriate programs.
  • Work in compliance with GMP, GPP, HSE standards and policies.
  • Ensure a clean and safe work environment per GPP and HSE requirements.
  • Ensure availability of necessary materials for tasks.

Management Responsibilities :

  • Potential delegate to supervisor.
  • Coordinate activities within the assigned team.
  • Manage team vacations and workload needs.
  • Conduct laboratory analyses related to various products.
  • Maintain a positive team environment to ensure good performance.
  • Communicate information between hierarchy and team.
  • Participate in evaluating and developing team members, including identifying training needs.
  • Plan and coordinate analytical activities.
  • Resources and Budget :

    No budget management; expenses are the responsibility of the department head.

    Internal / External Partners :

    Internal : Analytical department, purchasing, planning, and manufacturing.

    External : Laboratory service providers.

    Qualifications :

  • Education : DEC in Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry-Biology, or Bachelor's in Chemistry or Biochemistry.
  • Languages : French and English.
  • Experience : 3-5 years in analysis laboratories, pharmaceutical analysis, with knowledge of GMP standards, analytical techniques, and laboratory instruments.
