Job summary

FGF Brands is seeking a Team Leader-Packaging to lead the packaging line, ensure product consistency, and meet quality standards. Reporting to the Line Leader, you will supervise team members, conduct pre-shift huddles, train staff, and ensure proper labeling and inventory in the OMS system.

Responsibilities include enforcing GMPs, maintaining safety, managing CCPs, and coordinating breaks and coverage. Prior manufacturing experience and physical stamina are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1–2 years in a manufacturing environment (food/bakery preferred).
  • Accuracy and attention to detail; ability to detect quality issues.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or distraction.
  • Physical capable of moving up to 40 kg.
  • Flexible to work days, afternoons, nights & weekends.

  • Leads by example and fosters teamwork among Team Members.
  • Conducts pre-shift huddles and provides feedback.
  • Leads, coaches, mentors and trains Team Members.
  • Verifies packaging materials and ensures correct product placement.
  • Operates and manages labeling machine efficiently.
  • Controls CCP (Critical Control Point).
  • Maintains all packaging quality paperwork and ensures accuracy.
  • Follows OMS procedures and enters inventory.
  • Follows visual quality standards (VQS).
  • Provides orientation and training to ensure an effective workforce.
  • Maintains a safe working environment per FGF standards and inspections.
  • Reports equipment malfunctions and ensures coverage for breaks.
  • Performs general labor tasks as needed and takes on additional duties.

Summary

Reporting to the Line Leader, the Team Leader-Packaging is responsible for providing hands-on leadership to the packaging line while ensuring a consistent product in a timely manner that meets standards set by FGF.

Pay Rate
  • $28.65/hour
  • $1/hour night premium
  • $2/hour weekend premium

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Leads by example and fosters an environment of mutual respect and team work among Team Members
  • Conduct pre-shift huddles and provides feedback for Team Members
  • Leads, coaches, mentors and trains Team Members
  • Verifying proper packaging materials and ensuring proper product in being placed within the packaging
  • Operates and manages labelling machine efficiently
  • Responsible for controlling CCP (Critical Control Point)
  • Responsible for all packaging quality paperwork and ensuring accuracy
  • Ensures Operations Management System (OMS) procedures are being followed (entering inventory into the operating system)
  • Follows VQS (visual quality standards)
  • Provides orientation and training as required to ensure an effective and efficient work force
  • Ensures a safe working environment at all times by enforcing FGF standards & follows-up on inspections
  • Reports any equipment malfunctions to the appropriate parties
  • Ensures every Team Member on the packaging line receives their entitled break and proper coverage is provided Follows all GMP’s and Safety Procedures as outlined by FGF
  • May be asked by Shift Leader to perform general labor duties when needed as well as be assigned additional
Required Experience:
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment (food/bakery experience is desirable)
  • Accuracy and attention to detail and the ability to detect the presence of a quality issueGood communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or distraction
  • Physical capable of performing the demands of the role including frequently moving objects up to 40 kg
  • Flexible to work days, afternoons, nights & weekends if needed
