Job summary

FGF Brands is seeking a Sanitation Facilities Coordinator to support our sanitation program across multiple facilities, including travel to US locations. You will develop SSOPs, MSCS, and manage internal and external audits in line with customer requirements, regulatory and BRC standards.

The role requires a minimum of 2 years in a food manufacturing environment, strong MS Office skills, and the ability to collaborate with Site Sanitation Leaders and Sanitation Program Leaders to drive

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Post-secondary education completed.
  • Excellent MS Office skills (Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Outlook) required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for documentation and cross-functional communication.
  • Knowledge of sanitary design in food manufacturing.
  • familiarity with BRC, GMP, H&S and Food Safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Create and update SSOPs and MSCS and related documents with stakeholders at each facility.
  • Ensure commissioning of sanitation processes for new equipment and processes.
  • Support audits, customer requirements, and internal inspections.
  • Drive continuous improvement and share best practices across facilities.
  • Assist with corrective actions and creation of training materials (OPL).
  • Manage action lists and coordinate with Site Sanitation Leaders and Sanitation Program Leaders.

The Sanitation Facilities Coordinator will work closely with each Site Sanitation Leader and Sanitation Program Leader to ensure the overall Sanitation program complies in the areas of internal audits, Customer requirements, Regulatory and BRC Standards and perform other duties as required.

This role requires regular travel to support FGF facilities located in the US.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Create and update Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP’s) and Master Sanitation Cleaning Schedule (MSCS) and all other required documents, working with all relevant stakeholders at each facility
  • Ensure Sanitation completes the commissioning required documents for new processes and equipment installations at each facility
  • Support Site Sanitation Leader through internal, customer, third-party audits and self-inspections
  • Utilize continuous improvement tools to improve the sanitation program through problem resolution and transferring of best practices between facilities
  • Assist Sanitation Leaders in completing CAR (Corrective Action Report), and creating OPL (One Point Lesson)
  • Create and update Let’s Connect action list and update with direction from Site Sanitation Leaders and Sanitation Program Leaders to ensure action is conducted on the concerns
  • Involved in creating Power Point presentations with sanitation leaders
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Sanitation Facilities Specialist Leader, sanitation Director and VP of sanitation
Required Skills & Experience
  • A minimum of 2 years in a food manufacturing environment strongly preferred
  • Post-secondary education
  • Excellent skills in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook are required
  • Great written and verbal communication skills required for creation of company documentation and communication with cross functional team
  • Knowledgeable in Sanitation cleaning (wet/dry) and sanitary design in a food manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Knowledgeable with BRC standard, GMP rules, H&S guidelines and Food Safety guidelines
  • Continuous improvement skills a plus (Lean, 5S, Six Sigma)
  • LOTO and WHMIS training desired
  • Must be flexible to cover other locations if required (vacation, illnesses, audits, etc.)
  • Must be flexible to work various shifts based on business needs and some weekends if required (trainings, SSOP creations, reviewing deep cleaning procedures, etc.)
  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • Focused on efficiency with ability to meet required deadlines
  • Must be able to travel to FGF US locations
