Summary:
Under the supervision of the Supervisor, the Team Leader is responsible for overseeing operations during a shift. The Team Leader acts as a liaison between employees and management, ensuring work is performed safely and efficiently, with proper records maintained. The incumbent must conduct all business in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Fort McKay Group of Companies LP.
This is a safety-sensitive role requiring completion of pre-employment testing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct daily activities of Logistics staff, providing leadership, motivation, and coordination with external clients.
- Manage performance, training, and development needs of reporting personnel.
- Delegate tasks and set deadlines in coordination with business priorities.
- Supervise and schedule daily work activities of staff.
- Coordinate with project managers and other supervisors to meet schedules.
- Work with Logistics supervisors to identify and lead improvement initiatives.
- Resolve work issues and recommend productivity enhancements.
- Prepare relevant reports on productivity and other metrics.
- Order materials and supplies from approved vendors as needed.
- Foster a cooperative and positive work environment.
Skills and Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Post-secondary certificate or diploma in Business Administration or related field is an asset.
- Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Warehousing.
- Valid Class 5 License and a clean 3-year Drivers Abstract.
- Certifications: CSTS, OSSA, CSO, or BSO.
- Forklift certification is an asset.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with SAP is an asset.
Position Details:
This is a full-time role based in Edmonton, AB, working on a 12-hour day shift schedule (Team 150/150).
