Napoleon is seeking an associate for a Team Leader development role at the Barrie site. This full-time position trains you to lead in manufacturing or logistics and prepares you for a future Team Leader role.

You will shadow leaders, help resolve production issues, and learn to apply company policies, LEAN principles, and time-tracking via HRIS. Shift: Mon-Fri 3:00pm–11:00pm, location: Barrie, ON.

Competenze

• High school diploma or 4-5 years of relevant work experience with basic English and math literacy.
• Post-secondary education is an asset.
• Minimum 4 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Leadership experience is preferred.
• Must be willing to learn computer programs such as Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook and MRP systems.
• Must be able to teach others.

Monday to Friday 3:00pm to 11:00pm

Job Purpose:

To train and develop leadership skills and specific skills required in the performance of a Team Leader in a manufacturing or logistics role. This is a temporary classification for Associates preparing for a role as Team Leader.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Job shadow Team Leaders; Observe and assist in problem solving departmental issues and then implementing the appropriate solution
• Observe and assist the Manufacturing leadership in eliminating roadblocks to production
• Study to understand and comply with company policies and procedures, ISO and all Government legislation including the Human Rights Code, OHSA and ESA.
• Understand and apply LEAN principles, including 5S Methodology.
• Learn and use HRIS to track attendance, (O/T, absence, time offs).
  

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma, OR 4 - 5 years' relevant work experience with minimum literacy in English and Math confirmed
• Post-secondary education is considered an asset
• Minimum 4 years' experience in a manufacturing environment
• Preference given to candidates with previous leadership experience
• Willing and able to learn to learn computer programs such as Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook, as well as Visual Manufacturing or another type of MRP system
• Must have a willingness to learn new skills and methods
• Must show that they have the ability to teach others
