YMCA BC is hiring a Team Lead to oversee our inclusive before- and after-school program for children ages 5–12. You will guide a team, deliver engaging indoor/outdoor programming, and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for children and families.
The role includes payroll, budgeting, and building strong community partnerships. You bring 1+ year of leadership in childcare or community programs, knowledge of licensing requirements, and a passion for coaching others.
Term: Permanent, Full-time
Hours: 35 hours per week
Shift: Monday - Friday 7:30am - 8:30am & 2:00pm - 6:00pm + admin .
* Sites are open on Pro D days and there is potential to work during breaks
Start Date: August 24th, 2026
Salary: $27.36 per hour

Lead with Purpose! We are looking for a passionate and organized Team Lead to oversee our inclusive before- and after-school program for children ages 5–12. In this dynamic role, you will lead and support a team of staff and volunteers, delivering engaging indoor and outdoor programming while ensuring a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all children and families.
You will guide child-centered programming, provide active supervision, support positive behaviour and conflict resolution, and build strong relationships with children, families, and community partners. Additional responsibilities include preparing nutritious snacks, maintaining a clean and professional program space, and managing administrative tasks such as payroll and budget tracking.
