Team Leader, Value Centre North Road

Applications are invited for the position of Team Leader, Value Centre North Road.

Purpose of the Role

The successful candidate will support the Operations Manager to ensure the Value Centre operates professionally, compliantly, and profitably.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Providing support in the absence of the Operations Manager and carrying out any required duties.
  2. Assisting the Operations Manager in monitoring and achieving Key Performance Indicators.
  3. Working with management on replenishment and stock control in line with company procedures, ensuring stock availability to meet customer needs.
  4. Assisting management with stock takes.
  5. Contributing to effective wastage management and reduction within the branch.
  6. Ensuring security of Cash & Carry to protect employees and stock.
  7. Supervising employees in the Value Centre as directed.
  8. Maintaining a customer-focused and friendly branch operation.

The successful candidate will:

  1. Be a highly motivated self-starter.
  2. Possess strong interpersonal skills for professional communication with customers and suppliers.
  3. Ensure delivery vehicles are loaded accurately and timely.
  4. Have experience in a customer-facing role.
  5. Have experience in the licensed and/or grocery or catering trade.
  6. Be capable of managing day-to-day floor operations, including staff, stock control, deliveries, and merchandising.
  7. Possess previous buying and stock control experience (advantageous).
  8. Have some understanding of HACCP principles.
