Team Lead - Transportation Infrastructure

As a Team Leader in Transportation Infrastructure, you will lead a team of approximately 10 engineers and technicians and assist the Manager in achieving the objectives of the Transportation Infrastructure Department.

This position can based out of either Calgary, Edmonton, Regina or Saskatoon.

Your role within the team

  • Support the Manager in implementing methods and procedures according to corporate standards.
  • Manage the human, financial, and material resources of your department.
  • Plan resources for projects and participate in annual human resources processes (recruitment, performance evaluations, resource development plans, training, etc.).
  • Participate in business development for your department. Participate in the writing of proposals.
  • Act as a project manager for several projects.
  • Participate in and/or lead execution of transportation infrastructure projects including Function Planning, Preliminary Design, Detail Design and Construction Administration services.
  • Ensure client satisfaction and compliance with services offered deliverables, budgets, and schedules.

The ideal candidate

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering. Registered as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng) with APEGA and/or APEGS and willing to become a member in other provinces when required.
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in managing large-scale Transportation infrastructure projects and at least 3 years in managing/coordinating technical teams.
  • Proactive and methodical, with the ability to manage priorities and take initiative.
  • Able to communicate in English (speaking, reading & writing).
  • Completed large-scale assignments with various Ministries of Transportation and/or Cities.
