Job summary

Seequent is seeking a Team Lead, Software Development to drive the end-to-end design, development, and delivery of advanced research prototypes. You will own the Labs portal, shape cloud infrastructure on GCP, and guide architectural decisions while leading a capable software team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
• 7+ years of software development experience, including Senior Software Developer.
• 1+ year of formal or informal team leadership experience.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Deep senior full stack technical expertise with people and project leadership capabilities.
• Ability to work autonomously within an accountability framework and escalate complex issues.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and drive cross-functional collaboration.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, adaptability, and commitment to security and ethics.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end design, development, and delivery of complex research prototypes in collaboration with researchers and AI scientists.
• Own the Labs portal and ensure customers can access research prototypes.
• Develop and maintain Google Cloud Platform infrastructure for data and high-performance computing.
• Provide software design and architectural guidance and ensure standards and patterns are followed.
• Allocate work, coach colleagues, and foster effective team relationships.
• Lead medium-scale projects, manage risks and change controls, align with governance and business priorities.
• Collaborate with customers and cross-functional teams to improve prototypes and transition to products.
