Role Overview

The Team Lead, Service, will oversee the regional client servicing team of Client Service Specialists (CSS) in Commercial Banking Distribution. They will ensure the execution of business strategies, plans, and initiatives in compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures. The role involves managing a unit responsible for delivering high-quality, accurate client data, service, and support across all client Commercial portfolios.

This position entails leading end-to-end client-centric service for new and existing clients, coordinating with internal and external partners to ensure quality in financial reporting, funding, onboarding, and resolving escalated client issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Focus: Foster a customer-centric culture to deepen client relationships and leverage bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
  • Team Leadership: Coach and lead the team to deliver exceptional service, ensuring a seamless client experience, monitoring deficiencies, and balancing priorities.
  • Service Quality & Compliance: Ensure service delivery adheres to standards, controls are in place, and opportunities for process improvement are identified. Report unusual activities or risks promptly.
  • Performance Monitoring: Analyze service metrics, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to enhance client satisfaction.
  • Risk Management & Culture: Incorporate the bank’s risk appetite and culture into daily activities.
  • Operational Environment: Promote effective operations aligned with bank values, policies, and controls, including compliance, AML/ATF, and conduct risk management.
  • People Strategy: Build a high-performance, inclusive environment, communicate vision and values, and manage succession and development plans.
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education (Business degree preferred).
  • 3-5 years in Financial Services (Commercial/Small Business) or related industry.
  • Minimum 3 years managerial experience.
  • Strong sales, credit management, coaching, relationship-building, and leadership skills.
  • Understanding of Commercial Banking objectives, policies, and products.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, decision-making, and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of Canada's financial marketplace and key industries in the assigned area.

This role can be based in Moncton (NB), Halifax (NS), or St. John’s (NL).

Locations: Nova Scotia - Halifax; New Brunswick - Moncton; Newfoundland and Labrador - St. John’s.
