PENN. Penningtons is seeking a Team Lead in Hamilton Mountain Plaza for a part‑time, replacement role. You will collaborate with management to keep operations running smoothly and inspire the team to deliver an outstanding customer experience on the sales floor.

With leadership, fashion sense, and hands‑on approach, you will help create a vibrant, organized, and customer‑focused environment while supporting scheduling, cash handling, and loss prevention initiatives.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of leadership or supervisory experience in a retail or customer‑focused environment.
• Ability to motivate, support, and guide a team toward shared goals.
• Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Customer-focused mindset with the ability to create a welcoming and engaging shopping experience.

Responsibilities

• Support store performance by contributing to the achievement of sales goals and ensuring alignment with company objectives and KPIs.
• Assist with day‑to‑day operations, including compliance with policies and procedures, loss prevention, opening/closing routines, cash management, report generation, and scheduling support.
• Maintain high standards of merchandising and visual presentation to ensure a clean, consistent, and welcoming environment that enhances the customer experience.
• Coach and develop the team through ongoing training and constructive feedback to strengthen skills, confidence, and overall performance.
• Promote effective communication with the Store Manager to ensure alignment, smooth operations, and timely execution of priorities.
• Collaborate closely with the management team to ensure aligned priorities and swift action plans.
• Model a customer‑first mindset by leading on the sales floor, resolving customer concerns, and ensuring interactions reflect service standards.

• Coach and develop the team through ongoing training and constructive feedback to strengthen skills, confidence, and overall performance.
• Promote effective communication with the Store Manager to ensure alignment, smooth operations, and timely execution of priorities.

• Model a customer‑first mindset by leading on the sales floor, resolving customer concerns, and ensuring every interaction reflects our service standards.

• 6+ months of leadership or supervisory experience in a retail or customer‑focused environment.
• Ability to motivate, support, and guide a team toward shared goals.
• Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Customer-focused mindset with the ability to create a welcoming and engaging shopping experience.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Knowledge of store operations, including scheduling, cash management, merchandising, and inventory flow.
• Passion for fashion: good sense of style and solid knowledge of fashion trends.
• Proficient in POS, ERP, ATS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Flexible availability; able to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 40 lbs (18 kg), and use a step ladder reaching up to 3 m (10 feet).
• High school diploma required.
