Job summary

Nova Scotia Health Authority in Cape Breton Regional Hospital seeks a Team Lead to supervise the MRI unit in the Division of Diagnostic Imaging. You will lead daily operations and perform clinical duties within your field of expertise.

The role requires an accredited MRI program graduate, CAMRT certification and NSCMIRTP MRI licensure, plus a minimum of three years MRI hospital experience and demonstrated leadership abilities. French language skills are a plus.

About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Manager, the Team Lead is responsible for the organization and the supervision of the daily operation of the MRI unitin the Division of Diagnostic Imaging at Nova Scotia Health. In addition to the above-noted supervisory role, the successful applicant will also perform clinical duties within their fields of competency.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

• Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technology
• Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certification and
• Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) MRI licensure
• Minimum (3) three years’ recent experience required working as a MRI technologist in a hospital setting
• Formal management course preferred
• Strong leadership skills, with demonstrated progressive leadership responsibilities in a multi-modality/site imaging department.
• Ensures competency, and maintains an ongoing interest in updating knowledge on new equipment and procedures
• Practices excellent patient care; demonstrating courtesy, kindness and understanding using effective communication skills
• Strong organizational skills that demonstrate the ability to prioritize upon short notice while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy
• Well-developed decision-making, analytical, interpretation, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
• Conflict management skills and knowledge of appropriate resources
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours

• Permanent full-time position; 75 hours biweekly

Compensation and Benefits

$38.43 - $50.99 hourly
