Job summary

Lillio, a remote-first Canadian company, is seeking a Team Lead / Engineering Manager to bridge product strategy and technical execution. You will lead and empower our product engineering teams, mentoring engineers and ensuring the customer stays at the forefront of our solutions.

This role offers a path to influence product direction, drive engineering excellence, and grow with a mission to improve outcomes for educators, parents, and children.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience leading software development teams.

We’re looking for…

A motivated, hands-on Team Lead or Engineering Manager (depending on the candidate profile) to lead and empower our product engineering teams, advancing our mission to elevate early childhood programs through technical innovation. As an TL/EM at Lillio you will act as a bridge between high level product strategy and technical execution, but you are not afraid to roll up your sleeves and get dirty. You have a keen product sense, ensuring that the customer is always at the forefront of our solutions.

The engineering team at Lillio is made up of full stack web engineers as well as multi-platform mobile experts. How You’ll Make an Impact:

• You are an engineer who likes to win and loves seeing product deliver value to customers! Not only do you help solve technical problems, but you do so through a product-lens; you have a deep understanding of both engineering and product management frameworks and know how to apply them to achieve results

Required Technical Skills:

• 3+ years experience leading/managing software development teams.
• Strong technical background, with the ability to engage in and guide technical discussions, or be hands-on when needed.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for partnering with Product, Design, and other stakeholder teams.
• Proven ability to align roadmap with business objectives.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with SOC2 Controls and Implementation.
• Experience with AWS, Postgres, Heroku.
• Familiarity with observability tools

Tech stack:

• AWS, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, React, Ruby on Rails, TypeScript

$130,000 - $180,000 a year

This position is also eligible to participate in the company Stock Option Plan.
