Position: Maintenance Team Leader - Empress PPTC Pipeline

Based in Regina, SK, reporting to the District Maintenance Manager, the successful candidate will ensure the safe execution of maintenance activities on a 933 km pipeline and facilities from Empress, AB to Winnipeg, MB. Responsibilities include ensuring operational efficiency, reliability, adherence to standards and policies, providing technical expertise, managing work execution, risk, projects, compliance, budgets, and supervising a maintenance team and contractors.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring to personnel, fostering commitment, pride, honesty, and trust.
  • Manage daily maintenance activities in accordance with the Work Execution Management Program.
  • Lead hiring, onboarding, performance management, and career development in a union environment.
  • Support environmental, health, and safety initiatives in line with PMC's Operations Management System.
  • Communicate the vision of maintenance and reliability programs effectively across the site.
  • Develop equipment lifecycle plans and long-term maintenance schedules through oversight of the asset criticality program.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability, reduce costs, and increase efficiencies.
  • Monitor and develop key performance indicators for operations and maintenance.
  • Analyze reliability issues and lead RCFA teams to improve asset uptime.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors.
  • Identify and manage change initiatives, ensuring successful implementation.
  • Develop and oversee O&M and capital budgets.
  • Ensure compliance through assurance activities related to MOC, HSE, PSM, and Work Management standards.
  • Collaborate with management teams at the area and district levels.

Qualifications:

  • Must reside within 100 km of Regina.
  • Trade Certification (Millwright, Pipefitter, Electrician, or Instrumentation).
  • At least 5 years as a certified tradesperson.
  • Minimum of 5 years leadership experience in an industrial setting, preferably in oil and gas.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical, controls, mechanical maintenance, pressure vessels, pipelines, and heaters.
  • Proven ability to achieve operational excellence via continuous improvement.
  • Leadership skills to manage diverse teams during change and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Energetic, organized, self-motivated with excellent communication skills.
  • Willingness to advance to greater challenges.
  • Commitment to safety and team collaboration.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Maximo is an asset.
  • Self-directed with minimal supervision.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly.
  • Clear criminal background and satisfactory references.
  • Compliance with drug and alcohol policies, including pre-employment testing.
  • Adherence to PPE policies, including being clean-shaven for proper PPE fit.
