Although some flexibility may be required based on business needs, the schedule for this position is primarily Monday and Friday, 8:30 am – 4:00 pm, and Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 12:30 pm – 9:00 pm.

Position Summary

The Team Lead II, Distribution/CAN partners with the Manager I, Distribution, and assists in the coordination of shipping and receiving activities, maintaining quality control measures, monitoring productivity/service goals, and promoting a safe/lean culture.

Position Responsibilities

  1. Oversee floor operations in conjunction with the supervisor, including directing labor, flexing labor based on business needs, and maintaining workflow to meet customer service levels.
  2. Create fact-based metrics and analyze data to improve operational efficiency.
  3. Provide guidance and training to ensure lean practices and safety/security of all associates.
  4. Identify and develop opportunities for cross-training, back-up positions, and individual training to optimize performance.
  5. Maintain a safety-conscious workforce by championing 6S, enforcing safety policies, conducting safety meetings, and thorough incident investigations.
  6. Manage building maintenance, including opening and closing the facility daily and reviewing warehouse materials.

Knowledge and Experience

  1. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and MS Outlook.
  2. Intermediate experience with Radio Frequency Scanners, WMS, and SAP preferred.
  3. Strong time and priority management skills.
  4. Excellent interpersonal skills, including listening, coaching, diplomacy, and conflict resolution.
  5. Excellent communication skills, fluency in English, both verbal and written.
  6. Schedule flexibility for multi-shift operations.
  7. At least 2 years of distribution/warehouse operations experience.
  8. 1-2 years of leadership experience in a distribution/warehouse setting preferred.

Education and Certification

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  2. Bachelor’s Degree in Operations or related field preferred.
  3. Machine Operator License (Walkie, Reach, Picker, Forklift, Fall Arrest).
