Reitmans Canada Limited in Edmonton is seeking a Team Lead to partner with the management team to keep store operations running smoothly and inspire the team to deliver an outstanding customer experience. With your leadership, sense of style, and hands-on approach, you will help create a vibrant, organized, and customer-focused environment.

You will coach staff, ensure visual standards, and support daily sales initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• Knowledge of store operations including scheduling, cash management, merchandising and inventory flow.
• Proficient in POS, ERP, ATS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Flexible availability; able to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support store performance by contributing to sales goals and KPIs.
• Assist with day-to-day operations, including compliance with policies, loss prevention, opening/closing routines, cash management, report generation, and scheduling support.
• Maintain high standards of merchandising and visual presentation to create a welcoming environment.
• Coach and develop the team through ongoing training and feedback.
• Promote effective communication with the Store Manager to ensure alignment and timely execution of priorities.
• Collaborate with the management team to align priorities and execute action plans.
• Model a customer-first mindset by leading on the sales floor and resolving customer concerns.

Key Responsibilities

• Support store performanceby contributing to the achievement of sales goals and ensuring alignment with company objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Assist with day‑to‑day operations, including compliance with policies and procedures, loss prevention, opening and closing routines, cash management, report generation, and scheduling support.
• Maintain high standards of merchandising and visual presentationto ensure a clean, consistent, and welcoming environment that enhances the customer experience.
• Coach and develop the teamthrough ongoing training and constructive feedback to strengthen skills, confidence, and overall performance.
• Promote effective communicationwith the Store Manager to ensure alignment, smooth operations, and timely execution of priorities.
• Collaborate closely with the management teamto ensure aligned priorities, effective communication, and the swift execution of action plans.
• Model a customer‑first mindsetby leading on the sales floor, resolving customer concerns, and ensuring every interaction reflects our service standards.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of leadership or supervisory experience in a retail or customer‑focused environment.
• Ability to motivate, support, and guide a team toward shared goals.
• Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Customer‑focused mindset with the ability to create a welcoming and engaging shopping experience.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Knowledge of store operations, including scheduling, cash management, merchandising, and inventory flow.
• Passion for fashion: good sense of style and solid knowledge of fashion trends.
• Proficient in POS, ERP, ATS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Flexible availability; able to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 40 lbs (18 kg), and use a step ladder reaching up to 3 m (10 feet).
• High school diploma required.
