Job summary

Reitmans Brantford Common is seeking a Team Lead (Full time) to mentor a small team and drive daily store performance. You will lead on the shop floor, ensure outstanding customer service, and uphold merchandising standards while supporting scheduling, cash handling, and loss prevention.

Your role focuses on coaching staff, meeting KPIs, and maintaining a welcoming, fashion-forward shopping environment for our guests in Brantford.

Qualifications

  • 6+ months of leadership or supervisory experience in a retail or customer-focused environment.
  • Ability to motivate, support, and guide a team toward shared goals.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to create a welcoming and engaging shopping experience.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of store operations, including scheduling, cash management, merchandising, and inventory flow.
  • Passion for fashion: good sense of style and solid knowledge of fashion trends.
  • Proficient in POS, ERP, ATS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Flexible availability; able to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 40 lbs (18 kg), and use a step ladder reaching up to 3 m (10 feet).
  • High school diploma required.

Responsibilities

  • Support store performance by contributing to the achievement of sales goals and ensuring alignment with company objectives and KPIs.
  • Assist with day-to-day operations, including compliance with policies and procedures, loss prevention, opening/closing routines, cash management, report generation, and scheduling support.
  • Maintain high standards of merchandising and visual presentation to ensure a clean, welcoming environment that enhances the customer experience.
  • Coach and develop the team through ongoing training and constructive feedback to strengthen skills and performance.
  • Promote effective communication with the Store Manager to ensure alignment and timely execution of priorities.
  • Collaborate closely with the management team to ensure aligned priorities and swift action plan execution.
  • Model a customer-first mindset by leading on the sales floor, resolving customer concerns, and upholding service standards.

As aTeam Lead, you will collaborate with the management team to keep operations running smoothly and inspire the team to deliver an outstanding customer experience. With your leadership, sense of style, and hands‑on approach, you will help create a vibrant, organized, and customer‑focused environment.

Key Responsibilities
